2026 · UNESCO King Hamad Prize
The “Green Futures” dossier, ID 407, officially nominated by the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO. Letter no. 848 / 25 May 2026, signed by Secretary General Ligia Deca.
For an NGO from a town of 16,000, a UNESCO nomination is a statistical anomaly. The ones that follow won’t be.
The nomination
The King Hamad Prize rewards innovation in education — one nomination per country, per category, worldwide. The “Green Futures” dossier (ID 407) of Asociația Grupul Verde is Romania’s official nomination for 2026, confirmed by letter no. 848 of 25 May 2026, signed by Secretary General Ligia Deca, CNR-UNESCO.
The people beside us · 2021–2026
None of what you see here would have happened without them: the foundations and companies that supported our programmes, the teachers who opened their classrooms, the local authority that supported our educational centre, and the European networks we learn from. Thank you.
We only show organisations we have actually worked with. Logos are used with each partner’s agreement.
We build programmes for young people in Vrancea together — companies, foundations, schools and institutions.
European programmes · 2026–2027
The European funds our programme lines are built for. We apply as partner, coordinator or coach, depending on each call.
These are programmes we apply to, not partners. No project on this list has been approved yet. See the 43 programme lines.

Partnership principles
Public, verifiable contract numbers. Every grant tracked, amounts and partners declared.
We work with local authorities and schools, not over their heads. Real partners show up in November too — not just for the press release in June.
Annual reporting on every grant. We provide impact reports, financial statements and audit documentation on request.
Every programme is aligned with the UN Goals and the European Green Deal.
Founding partners
Organisations that join from the start shape the programme with us and are credited as founding partners.
