For an NGO from a town of 16,000, a UNESCO nomination is a statistical anomaly. The ones that follow won’t be.

What does the UNESCO King Hamad Prize nomination mean?
The King Hamad Prize rewards innovation in education — one nomination per country, per category, worldwide. The “Green Futures” dossier (ID 407) of Asociația Grupul Verde is Romania’s official nomination for 2026, confirmed by letter no. 848 of 25 May 2026, signed by Secretary General Ligia Deca, CNR-UNESCO.
